About Frenchies Vintage Garage
Frenchies Vintage Garage is a small, proudly independent motorcycle workshop built on craftsmanship, character, and a love for classic machines. What began as a simple challenge more than a decade ago has grown into a trusted space for riders who appreciate the soul of vintage bikes and the honesty of old‑school mechanical work.
The journey started 10 years ago when my father handed me his 1976 Kawasaki KZ900, a bike that had been sitting untouched in his garage for 15 years. He wanted to see if I could get it running again. That project — equal parts stubbornness, curiosity, and respect for the machine — became the spark that lit everything that Frenchies Vintage Garage is today. Bringing that KZ900 back to life didn’t just revive a motorcycle; it set the foundation for a passion that turned into a craft, and eventually into a business.
Years later, when my father became sick, I made a decision that changed everything: I was going to build him his dream bike — a Kawasaki H2 750. We searched everywhere for one in good condition, something I could revive without breaking the bank. What we found instead was a massive following, a legendary reputation, and the realization that the H2 was the hero bike of my father’s generation. Every listing we found was either overpriced, poorly sorted, or missing too much.
So I told him, “For what these cost, I can build one.” He looked at me and said, “If you think you can, let’s do it.”
That moment fast‑tracked everything. I sourced a 1974 H2 750 frame and matching‑numbers case on eBay. From there, I hunted down every single part — every nut, bolt, bracket, and component — by part number. Piece by piece, I rebuilt his dream from the ground up. Within six months, the bike was complete. His dream became real, and that build became the heartbeat of Frenchies Vintage Garage.
And something unexpected happened. People saw that H2 750 — the detail, the accuracy, the respect for the machine — and they started coming to me with their own classics and their own stories. Bikes that had been sitting for decades. Bikes tied to memories, fathers, sons, and first rides. After years of doing this as a hobby, I realized I could help others bring their dreams back to life too. That’s when Frenchies Vintage Garage truly became a shop.
The name Frenchies comes from something deeply personal. Our family has always had French Bulldogs in the garage while we worked — hanging out, snoring, supervising every build, and being part of the process in their own stubborn, loyal way. And the real spark came from my wife, who would shout “WEE WEE!” every time we took one of these classics out for a ride. Between the French Bulldogs, the laughs, and the memories, the name stuck. It became a symbol of who we are: family‑driven, loyal, gritty, and built with heart.
Today, our garage in Ormond Beach, Florida specializes in vintage motorcycle restoration, electrical system design, custom wiring, and precision mechanical repair. Whether it’s a Kawasaki Z1, an H2 750, a Honda CB, or any classic that deserves respect, we treat every bike like a piece of history worth preserving.
At the center of our brand is Frenchie, the shop’s iconic French Bulldog mascot — representing loyalty, grit, and a little bit of attitude. His spirit reflects how we work: dependable, detail‑driven, and never afraid to get our hands dirty.
We believe in doing things the right way, not the fast way. That means clear communication, fair pricing, and repairs that stand the test of time. From full restorations to everyday maintenance, our mission is simple: keep classic steel on the road and help riders feel confident in the machines they love.
At Frenchies Vintage Garage, every bike comes with a story — and every client does too. Over the years, those clients have become more than customers. They’ve become friends. The kind of friends who stop by just to talk bikes, share a memory, or show the progress of a project you helped bring back to life. That’s the heart of this garage: real connections built through craftsmanship, trust, and a shared love for classic steel.
